Singer/songwriter Aimee Mann is currently on tour and working on her upcoming studio album. Here is an excerpt from an interview that was recently published in the 24/7 section of the Brooklyn Courier-Life newspaper publications:

In addition to running her own label [Super Ego], [Aimee] Mann continues to be busy with projects. Not only is she performing these summer shows, Mann is also finishing her next album in the studio. “The perspective is totally different,” she responded when asked if this new record compares musically with The Forgotten Arm. “To me, I wanted to make a record that was similar to I’m With Stupid. The way I wanted it to be similar was I’m With Stupid kind of had songs [that] didn’t have to sound like each other at all. Some were just solo acoustic guitar and then some would be full band. It was kind of like the song was king and whatever the song wanted, the song got. So there was a lot of variety in the production.”
