Before Roxy Music reached commercial music nirvana with Avalon a decade later, the group led by Bryan Ferry was at the height of its avant-garde/glam zenith. With Ferry's unmistakable campy croon, Brian Eno's sonic wizardry, Andy MacKay's honking sax, and Phil Manaznera's zinging guitar, Roxy Music was ahead of its time with their ambitious set pieces played with an abundance of glamour and substance.
