Even if this wasn't originally released
for a movie, this soundtrack stands out as a tribute to the genius.
Ray is a really a greatest hits album; though not a definitive
one, it contains the essential songs drawing from his prime period:
"I've Got a Woman, Night Time is the Right Time," "Hit
the Road Jack," "Unchain My Heart," and "Georgia
On My Mind." And if one need proof of how great Charles
was on stage need to look no further than the several live tracks
here in "What I'd Say," "Let the Good Times Roll,"
and "Georgia. The many people who got his final album Genius
Loves Company will discover through this how the legend got
started.
